I love the phrase, “Walking is free.” When my daughter was a teenager, she said, “We should get a treadmill.” My response, “We have one. It’s outside. It’s called a sidewalk.” Teenager was not impressed. LOL But she is a healthy, active adult who helps her Mom stay motivated.
Great answer to your teenager, Anne Marie. So true, we forget that we don’t need fancy equipment to take care of ourselves. Keep on staying motivated, you’re doing amazing.

I love being on the “Lady Leprechauns” Team which is what wee have been cheering each other on. I had joined to help me with health issues and did not think I could do it, well with the team effort I am in the top 2 and totally suprised in myself. Our Captain Cathy believed in me more than I believed in my self. Thanks guys you are the best.
Hi Dorraine, it sounds like you have a great team of colleagues. So wonderful to hear that you’re doing well in the challenge and enjoying the camaraderie and support of your team.
Best,
Dina Morgan
I Love seeing everyone take on the stairs instead of the elevator!
Great to hear that, Andrea! Keep up the good work everyone!!
Because of this challenge I enjoying being active walking everyday I feel much better after all.. I love it! at work I been walking on the stairs up to 5ft floor not using the elevator anymore, at first its hard but I keep doing it all the time and now is nothing for me to go up and down on the stairs.
Hi Gina, congratulations!! This is great to hear. Isn’t it amazing how little changes in our daily habits can make such an impact on how we’re feeling? Keep up the excellent self-care. Good luck and keep on stepping to earn more myRecognition reward points. After Walk to Dublin is over, there are lots of CHALLENGES you can do with people who are actively using myWellness. When you click on CHALLENGES, click on CREATE A CHALLENGE to see the full listing of what’s available.

I have concerns that Virgin Pulse now requires us to waive our rights to our privacy with the new consent that popped up yesterday. We cannot log our steps unless we waive this privacy. WHY???
Hello Mary, the new privacy consent does not require one to waive privacy in order to track steps. The request requires that you review the privacy protection and member agreement information, check off your consent to the terms, and then you are able to continue using the program. This step is so that our participants understand the terms of the program, and how any information that you are tracking in the desktop or mobile app, is used to customize your user experience on myWellness/Virgin Pulse. When we all joined the refreshed program, there was also a consent process at that… Read more »
2 weeks ago for no apparent reason I went to upload my steps. I was unable to because virgin pulse said I opted out of the walk which I didn’t. I had 380 thousand steps. I called virgin pulse they said I couldn’t be put back on team. Apparently after talking to human resources at Huntington Hospital it also happened to 15 other people there was a clitch in the system. This was very upsetting to me in times of modern technology they couldn’t find a way to put me back on the team. It was a very postitive thing… Read more »
